To ensure that the My Carbon Footprint curriculum is engaging as well as educational, NYSCI used several middle school camp groups to help us prototype the lessons. After all, who better to give feedback than the curriculum’s intended audience?
Not only was NYSCI staff able to observe student engagement with the activities, we administered surveys to see what students were actually learning. Each camp allowed us to improve the lessons so that the final My Carbon Footprint curriculum not only educates but empowers students.
